Your details.
Your choices.
Horkos collects introductions for its founder–investor community, cohort partnerships and advisory services. You can introduce yourself without creating an account.
What you provide
We collect your name, email, role and the company or professional context you share. Depending on your answers, your profile can include sectors, company stages, locations, investment preferences, business priorities, workshop interests, service needs and sponsorship goals. We also save any briefs and budget ranges you choose to provide. Budget questions include a private-discussion option.
We record your submission time, reference and choices about matching assistance and community emails. Unsent onboarding answers stay in the current browser tab’s memory. They are sent only when you choose “Send my introduction”; reloading or leaving beforehand loses the draft.
How we use your profile
The Horkos team uses your introduction to respond personally and discuss the cohorts, services or sponsorship you have expressed interest in. A submission does not book a service, verify an investor or guarantee a cohort place. Investment preferences and sponsorship interests are kept as separate parts of your profile.
Matching is a separate choice
You can optionally ask us to use your profile to help identify relevant companies, investors, funds or partners. We retain that choice for future matching features, including AI assistance if introduced. No AI matching or automated investment decision system is active in this version. Your answers are self-reported; they do not establish investment quality or suitability. An introduction to someone else still needs your permission.
Your information stays private
Your introduction is stored privately for the Horkos team and can be exported for manual follow-up. It is not published in the directory, sold or automatically shared with another member, fund or sponsor. Hosting services process information needed to run the site.
Programme participation
Where the managed programme pilot is enabled, Google or email-link sign-in creates an account and a necessary session cookie. Your account role is self-reported; Horkos separately reviews capital-side bidding access. We store applications, eligibility decisions, votes, free-credit bids, meeting allocations and each participant’s outcome reports. Operational changes are recorded in a private audit log.
When you submit a company application, you approve publication of its company description, team, sector, stage, current goal, requested help, traction, logo and public links after review. Contact email, booking link and private deck are visible only to your account, Horkos staff and allocated meeting participants. An allocated founder can see their investor’s account name and email. Draft and rejected applications are not public.
Public scoreboards show aggregate votes and self-reported role segments, not individual voting histories. Sponsor reporting is aggregate; we do not automatically distribute a private contact directory. Meeting completion is reported by participants, not tracked through your calendar or call provider. Email delivery, when configured, is processed by Resend.
You can choose to reuse company basics from one of your previous applications. Each new application needs its own current goal, meeting details and publication permission; it does not change earlier applications. After marking an allocated meeting completed, you may save an optional usefulness response and next-step note. Only you and Horkos staff can read that note; it is not included in public profiles, shared with the other participant or included in sponsor reports. Staff may use it to understand your requested support. Saving a note does not send a message or subscribe you to invitations.
If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and provides your basic account identity, including name, email, account identifier and any profile image. We request only basic identity access, not your Gmail, contacts or calendar. Provider credentials and session information are held in the private authentication store. A matching verified email may connect Google to your existing Horkos account; signing in does not approve you as an investor or grant staff access. Some Google accounts using third-party email addresses must use an email link instead.
Support needs, cheque sizes and follow-through
The support you choose on an application (for example investors, customers or hiring) is shown on your company profile. Elsewhere it is only counted in totals, and only when at least five founders answered; categories chosen by fewer than three are shown as “fewer than 3”.
Investor cheque-size ranges stay private. A cohort page may show a rounded typical cheque once five or more approved investors have joined, never a minimum, maximum or any single investor’s figure.
To prevent ghosting, we record when a founder accepts a meeting and when each side marks it booked. A founder who received a request from an investor or partner can see that person’s follow-through rate once at least three of their meetings count, and may report no response after seven days. The investor or partner sees any report, can ask Horkos to review it, and staff decide any consequences; nothing is applied automatically.
Service emails
If you take part in a cohort, we email you about your own activity: founders when pitches are waiting for them, and investors and partners when a founder accepts or declines their pitch. These are service messages, not marketing, and they contain no sponsor promotion.
Optional updates
Community and cohort emails are a separate, optional choice. Both matching assistance and updates are off by default. You can leave them off and still receive a response to your introduction. Neither choice is permission to publish your profile or share your contact details.
Interest list
If you join the interest list on the homepage, we save your name, email, role, optional company, the tracks you picked, any interest in leading, joining or partnering on a track, any offer or thesis you describe, and, if you are a founder, the company details you give (one-liner, stage, raise, need, ask, traction, team and optional website and deck links). We never open or store your deck; we keep only the link you choose to share. We do not share your details with investors or partners without asking you first. We use them only to email you when a track you picked opens and to follow up on a request to lead or partner. Ticking the consent box is required to join, and every email lets you unsubscribe. Joining does not create an account or publish anything about you.
Changes to your details
Keep the reference shown after submission. When the team follows up, you can reply to request a correction, a copy of your details, removal, withdrawal of matching permission or an end to optional updates. Programme participants can edit their company application in My participation while applications are open. Later corrections and deletion requests are handled by the operating team.
Site operation
No payment or advertising-tracking features are active. The typography uses Google Fonts. Cohort companies, bids, credits and votes shown in the demonstration are fictional.
The public-launch notice still needs the operating entity, privacy contact and retention period before general registration opens.
